A WEBHEATH woman fears horses in her care will suffer when her partner loses his job at the MG Rover plant.
Liza Bryan, of Heathfield Road, has nursed and cared for unwanted and neglected horses at the Furlongs Horse Centre, near Church Hill, since she founded it in 1989.
But she said the centre could fold when her partner, Mark, loses his computer job at Longbridge.
She said: "We are an entirely voluntary service which is funded by the money we earn but if the money isn't coming in, we'll have no choice but to close down."
Miss Bryan said she and her partner were trying to deal with the situation day by day but she admitted the pressure and worry was increasing as time went on.
She said: "Mark is working full time but spending his free time desperately searching for jobs.
"We're very, very worried because we don't know what's going to happen next."
She added: "When the Rover plant closes, it'll have a knock-on effect on every aspect of our lives, not to mention the lives of the thousands of others."
Miss Bryan joined a support convoy backing MG Rover on Sunday.
A fleet of MGs and Rovers travelled from The British Motor Industry Heritage Museum in Gaydon to Longbridge.
