THERE was a good turnout for the April meeting, including five new members and one visitor.
Reports were given on several interesting meetings held recently - Crabbs Cross & Hunt End's 40th birthday party, the last meeting of the Redditch Group before the amalgamation with the Saltways Group, which was also held at Crabbs Cross, and the spring council meeting at Malvern, where the speakers were Mike George from BBC Hereford & Worcester, Chris Jaeger from Huntington Hall in Worcester and Nick Owen, presenter of Midlands Today on TV.
It was also the last to be presided over by popular chairman Suzanne Owen, who has completed her three-year term of office.
The speaker was Nick Houghton from Where Next Assocaition, who gave a brief history of the charity, which is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year.
He brought plants with him which he used to fill a hanging basket and sold quite a few of the others.
There will be an outing to Abakhan Fabrics Craft and Mill Shop in North Wales on June 20.
The next meeting is on May 9.
