AT the April meeting, the speaker was Derek Harrington, a member of the Bewdley Civic Society and the Bewdley Museum Society.
He showed many excellent slides depicting the buildings of Bewdley and outlined the history of the riverside town.
Members are now looking forward to the annual boat gathering to be held at The Boat and Railway, Stoke Works, Bromsgrove, over the May Day weekend, starting with live entertainment on the Friday evening.
There will be craft stalls, a jazz band at lunch times, Appalachian dancers and a number of other attractions during the daytime of Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
On Bank Holiday Monday there will be a duck race and evening entertainment will be open to the public at a cost of £3.
The next meeting will be on May 3 at 8pm at The Boat and Railway and will be A History of Royal Enfield Company by Anne Bradford. All welcome.
