REDDITCH police officers who dealt with a dangerous armed offender have received a prestigious award in recognition of their bravery.
Pcs Steve Norris and Christian Wiggins were recently commended for defending the public from the individual, who was threatening them with knives.
The officers were among a number of others invited to a North Worcestershire Divisional awards ceremony to receive a commendation.
Redditch Det Insp Tony Love was commended for his exceptional leadership over time, across a range of serious crime investigations and critical incidents.
Other officers were commended for their dedicated commitment and teamwork during a Class A drugs project, Operation Sabre, in Redditch.
Divisional commander Chief Supt Mark Howard said the officers were a credit to the division.
He added: "I'm delighted their hard work has been recognised."
