ENERGETIC residents are being invited to give Redditch charities a run for their money.
Three of the causes set to benefit from the town's fun run on May 21 have been announced and include Redditch's Where Next Association, which prepares people with learning difficulties for employment.
Radio Pulse, the station at the Alexandra Hospital has also been selected along with Redditch Unicorns, who raise money for seriously ill children in association with the Dreams Come True charity.
They will each enjoy a slice of the total entry money collected at the event taking place around Arrow Valley Countryside Park.
But runners who pre-register can choose a charity or organisation of their own to raise money for through personal sponsorship.
"It's a win-win situation. We get to raise money for the three nominated charities from entry money and runners can choose a charity of their own to run for," said organiser Dave Wilkins.
The annual event gives residents a choice of courses including a short toddle for mums and tots, a six-kilometre fun run and a 10k race. There is also a chance for teams of 10 from schools and pubs to take part.
"You could raise a lot of money and have fun - just take part and help make the event an annual success story for thousands of people," added Mr Wilkins.
It is sponsored by McDonalds, Peugeot Startins of Redditch, Staples and Redditch Council.
Entry forms are available from McDonalds, the Palace Theatre, the town hall and library, all One-Stop Shops and the Abbey Stadium.
