GENEROUS Redditch residents have donated scores of old blankets for their four-legged friends.
The town's dog warden, Julie Edmonds, wished to thank Advertiser readers who responded so generously to her recent appeal for old blankets and linen.
The items were needed to furnish Redditch police dog kennels, which takes in the town's stray pets.
Mrs Edmonds also appealed to the owners of two dogs found in Redditch over the last week to come forward.
The first is a tan and white male cross breed which was found roaming the streets of Lodge Park, while the second is a black Labrador picked up on The Saltway, just outside Feckenham.
Anyone who recognises either of these dogs is asked to call Mrs Edmonds on 07799 887536.
