PATRIOTS are invited to Alvechurch for the annual St George's Day extravaganza on Saturday.
Cream teas, Morris dancing, fish and chips and singing hymns will be just some of the traditionally English pastimes enjoyed by villagers and visitors.
The fun will kick off with the unfurling of the St George's Flag on the tower of St Laurence's Church at 10.30am and a host of traditional English children's games.
A real ale festival will run from noon-6pm and English cream teas will be served by members of the WI in the village hall all afternoon.
At 7pm, English hymns will be sung in the church followed by a fish and chip supper and an evening of traditional entertainment.
The Rev David Martin said: "This year's celebrations are going to be better and more spectacular than before."
