GOOD FOOD LUNCH CLUB: These functions are held in the Lifford Hall Parlour in Broadway. In March a tea had a small attendance but £40 was still raised.
In February a lunch raised £190 for equipment for patients use in the Barn House Surgery and a letter of thanks was read at the April lunch.
This function attracted 34 guests and raised £180 for the Evesham Willow Ward Stroke Unit. The next function will be a tea on Thursday, May 19 from 3.30am.
GARDEN CLUB: The March meeting was addressed by Elaine Horton on Bulbs, Corms and Tubers. She is the owner of Hoo House Nursery in Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury.
The competition for an Easter flower arrangement was won by Jane Hartman, June Morris was second while Shirley Gobourn was placed third.
The next meeting will be on Monday, April 25 at the usual time and place when Tim Miles will speak on Exotic Gardening in Cooler Climates. The competition is for a pot of any growing bulbs.
