A STOURPORT man gave his brother's name when he was arrested for drink-driving, Worcester Crown Court was told.
Dale Underwood also went to magistrates court and accepted the conviction in his brother's name, said Tim Sapwell, prosecuting.
The deception was not uncovered until he was stopped again by police and his true identity revealed by a fingerprint check.
Underwood, 23, of Barnfield Road, Walshes estate, was given a community rehabilitation order when he first appeared before the crown court in May last year for perverting the course of justice.
He had failed, however, to comply by the conditions of the order. Judge Andrew Geddes sentenced him to three months jail for the breach.
David Taylor, defending, said Underwood had been foolish in failing to appreciate the seriousness of his position.
