BEWDLEY Town boss Craig Payton believes his side need three more wins to clinch promotion from West Midlands Regional League division one after seeing rivals Great Wyrley leapfrog them to reclaim top spot.
The Ribbesford Meadows men slipped to second at the weekend after a fixture free Saturday, but went gunning for the first of their treble victory target at Tenbury last night.
They host Blackheath at 2.45pm on Saturday with Payton telling his players to take each game as it comes. He said: "We need to make sure of promotion first and then we'll do our best to take the title too."
Bewdley's Sunday side managed by Ian Smith are also gunning for glory after making it to the final of the Evesham Cup, while they are still in the hunt for the Kidderminster and District division two title. Town's under-nines, under the guidance of Ade Passey, can win their league with victory on Saturday.
