MEMBERS attended a concert by pianist Allan Schiller in aid of the Denis Matthews Memorial Trust, at the Adrian Boult Hall, Birmingham on Friday evening.
A contingent of members will be travelling to Daventry at the weekend when the Federation of Recorded Music Societies' annual music weekend, is taking place. There will be celebrity speakers, such as Dame Joan Sutherland, her husband's (Richard Bonynge) biographer, and Mr Schiller.
Live music will be provided by Serenata Winds.
Tickets are on sale for Jonathan Darby and Russell Painter's Summer Serenade, at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, June 18. These are available from Kidderminster Library Shop, Bewdley Books, Stourport Photo Centre, or from vice-chairman Von Stewart 01562 75500.
The singers will be accompanied by David Morgan, who will also play two piano solos, and the programme will include duets and solos from the world of opera, operetta, musicals and popular songs.
