READERS of the Shuttle/Times and News are being offered another fantastic sports prize that will be raffled in aid of Operation Covert.
Visitors to an April tournament of the world's best darts players - including world champion and number one player, Phil Taylor - will have the chance to win one of the evening's dartboards, which will be signed by all seven competitors.
The 888.com Premier League Darts tournament will be held at the Glades Arena in Kidderminster, where a similar raffle raised more than £500 this month.
We raffled two cues signed by snooker stars Ronnie O'Sullivan, Jimmy White, Marco Fu and Paul Hunter at the sold-out Betfred.com Premier League play-off on February 10.
The raffle was hugely popular and we are expecting another great response at the darts tournament, on April 28.
The dartboard will be signed by Phil Taylor, as well as Colin Lloyd, Peter Manley, John Part and Roland Scholten, ranked two, three, four and five in the world.
Completing the line-up of famous signatures on what is bound to be a prized piece of sporting memorabilia are Wayne Mardle and Mark Dudbridge, world numbers eight and 10.
The event, to be broadcast on Sky Sports, sold out in two hours - a record for the Glades. Shuttle/Times & News editor, Clive Joyce, said: "We had great support for the snooker event and we hope that darts fans will be equally generous. It is all in a good cause and the prize will be a fantastic souvenir of a world class night of darts in Kidderminster."
