A YOUNG poet is celebrating after her poem was picked to feature in an anthology of children's work - for the second time.
Following hot on the heels of her success last year, 10-year-old Lauren Garbett, from Kidderminster, has had her verse about Christmas Eve selected for the Poems for Santa collection, organised by Scribbler! magazine.
Lauren entered the competition on her own initiative.
Proud stepfather, Neil Garbett, said: "She's been writing poems for most of her life. She turns these out like shelling peas. Lauren has a natural talent and is exceptional at writing."
Last year, her poem titled Trespassers was published in a book following another competition organised by the magazine.
