THE three title-chasers in the Stratford Alliance's Herald Division Two kept up the pressure on Saturday but Bidford still look favourites.

Alcester Lions, Cubbington and Bidford remain locked on the same points - 44 but Bidford have two games in hand and can give their title hopes a big boost with a win at home to Badsey Utd Reserves on Saturday.

Last week they edged past Henley Reserves 1-0 thanks to a goal from Neal Haines, while leaders Lions won by the same score against visitors Studley Nags'Head thanks to Lee Styler's goal.

Cubbington were indebted to two-goal Lawrence Peach for their victory at Badsey Utd Reserves and tehy will be in cup final action this weekend while their rivals try to edge ahead.

There were goals galore in two of the other Heral matches - Broadway smashed a dozen past Bodrum and Littleton hit six in a nine-goal exchange at Tysoe, including two each for Rowan Evans and Ryan Scott.

High-scoring Dog and Pheasant lost ground at the top of Cutler Division Three when they were beaten by the odd goal in nine at Badsey Rangers Reserves.

Rich Skan hit all four for the pub team but Rangers went one better through Antonio Vernaschi (2), Ben Metrovitch (2) and Jason Jones.

This left Kenilworth to overtake leaders Long Compton with a 4-2 home win against Welford which included a hat-trick from Andy Brookes.

Ilmington Revolution celebrated their Hournal Division One championship with a 5-4 win at Quinton.

Steve Smith and Ben Huckfield both scored two and Jim Shearman added one for Revolution. Quinton's four came from Sean McKendry (2), Chris Valentino and an own goal.
