Burnham 3 Bromsgrove Rovers 1
Southern League Division One West
Bromsgrove's automatic promotion hopes were left in tatters after Burnham grabbed all three points with a workman like performance at The Gore.
Rovers started brightly and put Burnham under considerable pressure.
Paul Szewczyk and Mark Benbow both wasted chances to put Rovers ahead in the opening minutes.
Kevin Banner had his shot blocked by Adam Logie.
Burnham soaked up the early pressure and almost took the lead in the 19th minute, but Jon Norsted lifted his effort over goalkeeper Adam Jenkins, who was in for the suspended Matt Lowe.
Rovers fell behind in the 31st minute. Jenkins turned Norsted's shot onto the post and the ball fell kindly to Michael Bartley, who tucked the ball home from close range.
Bartley added his and Burnham's second in the 39th minute.
He raced onto a long kick from Dyson, touched the ball past the on-rushing Jenkins and tapped the ball into the unguarded net.
Benbow almost pulled a goal back just before the interval.
Kevin Banner swung the ball into the near post, Steve Frost flicked it on and the late arriving Benbow sent it over the bar.
Rovers pushed for a goal and were unlucky not to score.
Steve Hillman's long ball over the Burnham defence caused panic.
Dyson rushed out of goal to head clear as Szewczyk closed in, but Benbow's attempted lob towards goal bounced wide.
Rovers pinned Burnham back in their own half for long periods.
Frost went close, turning Riad Erraji's cross into the side netting in the 51st minute.
Benbow's cross from the right was met by Appleton, his header was deflected into Banner's path, only for Paul Brett to throw his body at the shot, which rolled just wide after 54 minutes.
Just after the hour mark Rovers' pressure finally told as they got themselves back into the game. Erraji picked up on a poor clearance, and fired in a low shot from 25-yards out that beat the despairing dive by Dyson.
Jimmy Mullen rang the changes, replacing Leon Mitchell with Arthur Appleton in the 64th minute and gave Courtney Shaw his debut fro Matt Gardiner after 72 minutes as Rovers sought out an equaliser.
Szewczyk headed Hillman's cross over the bar.
Two minutes later Benbow's header clipped the top of the bar from Banner's cross.
The winger then forced Dyson into a good save at his near post in the 76th minute.
The Blues settled the game 30 seconds later. After a quick breakaway, Logie supplied the perfect cross and Arron Lennon produced a well executed scissors kick into the top corner of the net, giving Jenkins no chance.
In the 80th minute Barltey missed a glorious chance of completing his hat-trick, but sliced the ball wide with only the keeper to beat. Substitute Emlyn Hill was put through on goal in the 86th minute but hesitated and dragged the ball wide.
Chances fell to both sides during injury time. Norsted fired wide after being set up by Hill, while Szewczyk's powerful header was pushed wide by Dyson.
