THE next event for Colwall Bird Survey Group is a walk at the Knapp and Papermill Reserve at Old Storridge, near Alfrick tomorrow (Saturday). It will be led by local expert Garth Lowe and take about two hours. There are two or three stiles at the beginning but these may be avoided by taking an alternative route for the first part if necessary. Visitors are welcome, £2. Seekers at St James' Church is holding a young family lunch on Sunday. This follows the service at St James' at around 11.45am, with lunch being served from 12.30pm onwards. Further details from Rosie on 540895.
Under the National Gardens Scheme, Caves Folly and Longacre gardens in Evendine will be open on Sunday from 2-5pm. The cost for the two gardens is £3, children free.
Twenty-one teams took part in the annual Colwall Players fun quiz held last Friday evening at Colwall Village Hall. The quiz-master was Steve Hockett, who also set the questions.
The next meeting of Colwall Parish Council takes place on Wednesday, April 27 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
