THREE roads in the Malvern Hills area have been identified as among the most dangerous in West Mercia for motorcyclists.
Last year, 17 riders were involved in collisions on the A44 Worcester to Kington road, 10 on the A38 Upton to Rubery road and nine on the A465 Prontrilas to Bromyard.
The news comes as West Mercia Constabulary launches its Knights of the Road safety campaign.
The force will be stepping up its enforcement and education efforts in a bid to reduce the number of motorcyclists killed and injured.
Sgt John Roberts said: "Motorcyclists accounted for only one per cent of the traffic on force roads last year and yet they still accounted for almost one in 10 of the people killed.
"We will be targeting motorcyclists who use excessive speed and carry out dangerous manoeuvres risking other people's lives as well as their own.
"We will also be focusing on the behaviour of other road users and reminding them of the importance of being aware of other vehicles, particularly motorcycles."
The force will also give motorcyclists the chance to improve their skills through the Bikesafe scheme.
The two-day sessions will assess riding and teach techniques for safer biking.
