A PAIR of Upton dads spent a day on the London Underground but they had a good 'loco' motive - it was to raise funds for their children's school.
Rupert Chambers and Mike Morgan, chairman and vice-chairman of Upton Primary School's Friends Association, visited 263 of the network's 275 stations.
Starting at Chesham at 5.17am on Wednesday, the pair travelled on all the main lines, finishing at Amersham at nearly 1am.
The pair had initially hoped to visit all 275 stations but found one closed and others unreachable due to a football match.
But Mr Morgan said the day had gone well: "We were expecting a lot more rush hour calamity and it didn't happen - we seemed to be on the right train at the right time."
The sponsored stunt is hoped to have raised at least £500 for the Friends' latest £12,000 project www.classroom.
The project aims to introduce networked computers in each classroom at the school.
