WEST Malvern travelled to Oak Apple with a much-changed side, giving a debut to Joey Spencer at full-back and Richard Vernon his third game in goal.
OAK APPLE 0, WEST MALVERN 3
West Malvern kicked off and made an early breakthrough when a through-ball found Phil Jenkins, who beat the keeper with ease. West Malvern continued to dominate and the front two of Jenkins and Holder missed chances galore.
They increased the lead in the 30th minute when Dave Kelme was on hand to knock the ball home from close range. Although they continued to press they did not convert the chances that they created.
West Malvern were forced to substitute Graham Maclennan just before half-time with a re-occurrence of a thigh injury, with Andy Baxter taking over in midfield.
In the second-half, West Malvern continued to have most of the play and they finally wrapped the game up in the 87th minute, when substitute Gerald Harrison broke through and scored comfortably.
Tomorrow (Saturday), West Malvern, sponsored by the Cross Keys and Amey, travel to play Hanley Swan. The game has been switched to Tunnel Hill at Upton. Players meet Bluebell Inn at 2pm or at the ground.
