I READ the lady's letter 'Lovely day spoilt' (Your Letters, April 15) with interest and sympathy.
What a pity that a visit to this lovely old town should end on such a sour note. Her experience at the car park is sadly by no means unusual; my own fine of £20 was imposed while re-cycling bottles and newspapers there at the town skip. It cost me roughly £3 per minute with my protests being dismissed in a similar manner. Perhaps, like the Bermuda Triangle, Southlea should be re-named and carry a special health warning for holiday visitors.
