Freddie Starr will be on stage in Malvern next month as part of nationwide tour.
Originally a singer, he performed at Liverpool's Cavern Club with the Beatles and Cilla Black in the 1960s.
But it was comedy that made him famous, with a manic, almost frenzied style that responds best to a live audience.
