WELL. Sexy old grandad... raunchy old grandma.
Or, in other words, my parents' generation. After all those pronouncements and dire warnings we had as youngsters growing up in the 1960s, the hypocrisy of it all.
Now it seems that back in the 1940s, Worcester was regarded as being so laid-back that a Kinsey-style probe (oo-er!) into sexual habits was conducted.
The Kinsey Report scandalised Conservative America in 1948 with its explicit detail of every kind of sexual activity.
Then came "Little Kinsey" and the organisers chose Worcester to provide a snapshot of Britain as the Faithful City was regarded as being a "respectable town."
Hmm. I wonder whether the choice of "Churchtown" as a fictitious name was laced with any traces of irony?
I suspect that things rapidly became pretty hot round here once the Yanks arrived in 1943.
And there will undoubtedly be people still living who hope to take a dark secret or two to the grave.
Anyway, all you former ravers now in your 80s had better watch out... the BBC wants to hear from you. So remember. You have nothing to lose but your corsets. Again.
