NORTH Midlands rugby clubs are to be balloted over proposed league restructuring next season which could see the North Midlands North and Staffordshire League combine to produce two merger leagues.
At the moment North Midlands North and the Staffordshire League are both parallell leagues at level nine of the pyramid league structure.
Under the proposed restructuring they would combine to form Midlands League Five (West) and Midlands Six (West).
The proposed restructuring would not adversely affect any North Midlands North club as there would still be promotion at the end of the current season but no relegation.
If the changes are approved, Cannock would join nine North Mids clubs in Midlands Five (West) and the remaining ten Staffs clubs would form Midlands Six (West).
