THE Co-op has acquired the Costcutter convenience store in Lower Wick, Worcester, for an undisclosed sum.
The consumer-owned Co-op will now invest £100,000 in improving facilities at the 2,500 sq ft store, in Canada Way, and has kept all 21 staff and hopes to employ extra.
"This is another significant investment in Worcester for the Co-operative Group," said regional chief officer Mark Roberts.
"We look forward to serving the local community with the best in modern convenience shopping and to playing our part in community life in the best traditions of the Co-op."
