A WORLD-famous ballet has provided the inspiration for one of 15 gardens at a spring show set to take place in Malvern next month.
The Elysium Swan Lake Garden - inspired by Tchaikovsky's masterpiece - is the work of designer Caroline Parsons, at Elysium Garden Design in Hertfordshire.
It looks set to be a talking point among the 90,000 visitors at Malvern Spring Gardening Show, running at the Three Counties Showground from Friday, May 13, to Sunday, May 15.
Caroline's garden features a statue of the black and white swans Odette and Odile dancing their last dance.
A blue glass lake and striking black and white planting against a night-time backdrop of woodland flora and fauna complete the picture.
Other show gardens include That Friday Feeling - the work of nine ladies from Bristol-based Design Friday.
The garden demonstrates how even the tiniest urban backyard can be transformed into a stylish yet practical environment with reflective pool, curved bench and room for a surfboard.
Meanwhile, Lindsay Stanton of Worcestershire is building Chic to Chic - an intimate and romantic garden for people looking to relax after a hectic week.
Tickets, priced from £10.50, are available in advance on 01684 584924.
