THE Primrose Hospice and Cancer Help Centre can now use the information superhighway to help more patients than ever before.
The charity now has its own website at:
www.primrosehospice.org
The site provides information to cancer patients and their families about the charity's day hospice and the range of support services available.
Anyone wishing to help support the charity can find out more about volunteering opportunities and details on how to raise funds.
There is also information about Primrose at the Princess, the palliative care unit at Bromsgrove's Princess of Wales Community Hospital, which was developed in a partnership between the hospice and Redditch and Bromsgrove Primary Care Trust.
Anyone with any queries about the hospice can submit their questions on an inquiry form via the website and a Primrose representative will reply as soon as possible, usually within 48 hours.
Fund-raising manager Lorraine Hart said: "We're delighted to have a website for the hospice at last.
"The site will be developed over time and we hope to make online donations a reality in the very near future."
The charity is also launching two calendars to raise money during 2006.
The first will be a Calendar Girls-style calendar featuring "hunks" from Redditch and Bromsgrove companies and the second will be a traditional calendar featuring original pictures from Bromsgrove Art Group.
Any businesses which would like to sponsor the calendars to help pay for production costs can call the fund-raising team on 875444.
