ALVECHURCH Lions under 10s roared to their first league title on Sunday after a 4-1 away win at The Glades.
Championship rivals Harborne Hotshots lost their last away game at Sutton to hand the Lions the title.
Two goals apiece from Josh Poole and David Baker sealed the victory.
The Lions, who were only founded in 2003, now boast eight teams.
The club is hoping to field ten teams next year made up of seven boys and three girls teams.
n Studley Juniors under 12A beat Crusaders 1-0 on Friday thanks to a single goal by Harvey Parker. Man of the match was James Harrison.
The same team lost to Sports Co 2-1. Harry Jones scored the Bees goal and was also man of the match.
n Redditch Town under 8s are looking for some new players for next season. There is just one player in the under 8s team currently.
