DO people remember when visitors came see our lovely town?
Now visitors spend any time here looking at their watches and thinking of when they must leave.
They are worried that parking attendants with tape measures are out checking that vehicles are not inches over the parking lines or are minutes over their parking time.
The traffic wardens boast they take £6,000 a week from parking and fines in Droitwich but how much do the traders lose per week to out of town shopping or visitor friendly towns near by.
Councillors say disabled drivers should pay for the privilege of parking near to shops even though these same shops are required by law to provide easy access for the disadvantaged.
Try and get an answer to the question about on street parking 'No return within two hours' is this no return to the same bay? The same street? Or the whole town? The wardens give you one answer, the parking authorities give you another but visitors can be charged £60 because of those ambiguous signs. One could be forgiven for thinking that this is a cheat's charter.
Where are these so-called Droitwich councillors. Do they not care? Are they too busy, can't they see what's happening to our once friendly town? Are they incompetent, or are they just useless figureheads?
