STUDLEY Operatic Society has been awarded the trophy for the regional Best Show in 2004 from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA).
The award was for their critically acclaimed show The Scarlet Pimpernel, which was directed by and starred Kevin Hirons. President Joe Brennan accepted the award, joking that they had been "a very patient society", having waited 99 years for their first award and paid tribute to the hard work by its members.
