Coventry Sphinx 2 Barnt Green Spartak 3
SPARTAK ended Sphinx's 21 game unbeaten run in the league with a commanding display on Saturday.
Kieran Holland handed his side the perfect start when he opened the scoring in the third minute.
Delroy Brown added the second after the break, before Coventry pulled a goal back.
However, top scorer Warren Sewell stretched his side's lead minutes later.
Despite a late goal by Coventry Spartak held on for victory.
Manager GJ Singh said: "We never looked like we were in trouble, despite the late goal Coventry scored.
"Both sides had their chances but we deserved to win."
On April 20 Spartak romped to a 5-0 win over Alveston, with goals for Adrian Knox, Holland (3) and Alex Lewis.
Despite the two wins Singh believes there is a long way to go before his side cement fifth place in the Midland Combination Premier Division.
He said: "We've got three tough games left and we can't afford to drop any points.
"We still need to make sure we win our last games."
Spartak take on Feckenham at home tonight (Wednesday, 7.45pm kick off).
