TO all ex MG Rover employees - firstly my deepest sympathy for losing your job. Do you have a spare room in your house? Can you fry an egg? Then read on:
Create, enjoy and profit from 'Tourism.' You can offer bed/breakfast and evening meal, weekend breaks. Living in the Longbridge area you have on your doorstep to offer people, walking (could be guided walks in (in three weeks the bluebells will be flowering), mountain biking and golf on the Lickey Hills. Locally sailing, canoeing and birdwatching. A theatre in Redditch, and others in Birmingham. Redditch/Bordesley Abbey for history. The history of the Austin Motor Company. A cinema and fitness centre, etc
I am serious. Within a small radius of Longbridge is hours of interest and could be cultivated into a two, three or four- day package of real interest.
