AT our meeting on April 14 the speaker was Neil Cook, head-gardener at Hanbury Hall. His subject was the restoration of Hanbury Hall gardens, which has been going on for some years.
The aim of the restoration is to bring the gardens as near as possible back to their original state. Mr Cook accompanied his talk with slides showing pictures of the gardens in the 18th century and of how they look now.
At our next meeting on May 12 we will not have a speaker but the AGM will take place, followed by a social evening and plant sale.
Come and join us, with a plant if possible, and you will be made most welcome.
Our meetings take place on the second Thursday of each month at 8pm in the Friends Meeting House, in Sandhills Road, Barnt Green.
