MEMBERS of the UK Independence Party took part in a motor parade to mark St George's Day on Saturday.
Tony Eaves, the UKIP's candidate for Mid-Worcestershire, and chairman of the branch Peter Quick, who dressed up as St George, spearheaded the event and publicised their policies.
Six cars and the party's 'battle wagon' took part in the parade, and members used a public address system to highlight what they say is a £30million per day waste in the European Union.
Peter said: "We got a very positive response from the people of Droitwich with thumbs-up and tooting of horns.
"We went round the whole of Worcestershire on St George's Day and managed to get our message across to lots of people."
He added UKIP was the only political party to celebrate St George's Day and that it would like to see the day being made into a national holiday.
