RESIDENTS fighting to save Droitwich Spa Lido used a public address system to get their message of the parish poll across last Saturday.
Members of the Save A Lido Today (SALT) group were trying to encourage townsfolk to vote in the parish poll tomorrow (Thursday). At a town meeting on Monday night, residents were again urged to turn out for the poll.
Town councillor Graham Gopsill (Lib Dem-Central) said: "Vote in the parish poll. Tell your neighbours. If the turnout is low on Thursday Wychavon District Council will use it against you."
Polling cards will not be given out so residents on the electoral register just need to turn up at the polling station closest to where they live.
The stations are: Baptist Church, Ombersley Street East, The Royal British Legion Club, Salwarpe Road; Emmanuel Church, Blake Avenue; Red Lion public house, Worcester Road; Scout HQ, Cockshute Hill; Droitwich One Stop Shop, High Street; Spring Meadow Inn, Mulberry Tree Hill; The New Westlands Hall, Westlands Shopping Centre; Chawson Barns Community Hall, New Chawson Lane; Methodist Church, Worcester Road; Droitwich Youth House, Old Coach Road.
They will be open between 4 and 9pm.
