A TALENTED bunch of Redditch rockers are tuning up for their biggest gig to date.
Page 44 will play at Bar Academy in Birmingham on Friday along with three other Midlands bands.
The venue is one of the second city's best-known showcases for talented local bands and often leads to larger gigs at the neighbouring Academy.
"We have played at Bar Academy before but only on a Thursday, so a Friday night gig is a step up for us," explained lead guitarist Adam Standford, 20.
Adam, from Munsley Close in Matchborough East, said the band's appearance at Bar Academy was arranged after they impressed organisers with their demo CD.
The four-piece act, which also includes bassist Paul Budgen, drummer Jon Parker and vocalist Adam Vygus, have been together for two years and say their inspirations range from Coldplay to Green Day.
"We are really looking forward to the gig, we enjoy playing live," said Adam.
The Bar Academy gig starts at about 8.45pm and as well as performing, Page 44 will also be launching their latest EP.
