RESIDENTS in a flap over noisy neighbours late at night and in the early hours will soon have help at hand.
Wychavon District Council's environmental services department is about to restart an out-of-hours service for residents who experience nuisance from noise.
The service starts on Friday, April 29 and will run for six months, finishing on Saturday, September 24, to cover its busiest time of year.
During that time, an officer will be available to respond to environmental health issues between 9pm and 2am on Friday and Saturday nights only.
The council ran the service for the first time last year and residents found it so useful officials decided to provide it again.
"This service is mainly to help anyone who experiences nuisance caused by noise," said the council's environmental protection manager Geoff Carpenter.
"We'll offer advice to anyone who contacts us and will also try to resolve more serious cases.
"This may involve a visit from an officer where a situation arises that can't be dealt with during normal office hours."
Anyone wanting to use the service out of hours should initially telephone 01527 551887.
