KIDDERMINSTER and Stourport Athletic Club members limbered up for the coming season by recording personal best times and encouraging performances at the club's spring warm-up meeting, held at their Alan Moreton stadium.

Boys: U-11 - Sasz (4th, 80m), Thomas Kemp (5th, 600m; 7th, 80m); U-13 - J Whorton (4th, 80m), Morris (6th, 80m), Bradley Gough (4th, shot; 5th, long jump; 7th, 80m), Robert George (4th, long jump).
Three members took part in the London Marathon.
David Hunt had a superb maiden run in the event, the veteran 40 runner only having taken up the sport last year as part of the "Beginners Running" programme. He finished the marathon in three hours 16.-05.
Jacqui Phillips, one of the club's top female athletes, though suffering the after-effects of flu, managed to complete in 3-40-10.
Over 50 veteran and marathon regular, Martin Willmott, overcame a fall half-way through the race, to manage a creditable 4-01-30.
The club is running a 10-week beginners running course, from Stourport Sports Club, Kingsway, Stourport, every Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm, and is open to men and women of all ages and fitness levels (school year 11 minimum age).

King Charles I High School pupil Heidi Jarosinski, 18, who competes for Halesowen Athletic Club, recorded two personal bests in the National Junior League at Telford on Sunday. Jarosinski came second in the long jump with 5.67 metres, and was also second in the javelin, throwing 29.18m.
