AN Evesham heroin addict, suffering from deep vein thrombosis brought on by her habit, has pleaded guilty to three counts of theft.
Karen Niblett, aged 18, of Hemmingway, Fairfield, has been banned from every shop in Evesham, except the Spar shop on Fairfield Road.
Niblett, who appeared at court with a crutch, accepted she stole greengroceries and a shopping basket from Iceland, soft furnishing and groceries and more groceries from a Co-op, all in Evesham, at Worcester Magistrates Court on Monday.
She also failed to attend a court hearing because of the deep vein thrombosis.
She was arrested and her solicitor Barry Newton said she had missed a hospital appointment because she had been retained in custody.
She will reappear in court for sentencing on May 19.
