THE new Roses Theatre season is offering plenty of entertainment in Tewkesbury through into summertime.
Limehouse Lizzy, a tribute to Thin Lizzy, tomorrow night, and A Night At The Musicals on Saturday, will see out April at the theatre, ready for a new season of entertainment of all kinds.
Theatre lovers can look forward to Hull Truck's Kissing Married Women on May 4, The Screwtape Letters and The Hiding Place on May 6 and 7, by Christian Theatre Company Saltmine and The Merry Wives of Windsor from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School on May 18.
The London Classic Theatre Company is also performing the moving drama Frozen on June 9 and Not the National Theatre brings Japes on June 22.
Music is provided by Maddy Prior and the Girls on May 11, Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers on May 13, The Pasadena Roof Orchestra on May 14, Raymond Froggatt on May 22, The Bronte String Quartet on June 11, Marty Wilde on June 19 and The Blues Band on June 23.
There are also plenty of tribute and musical compilation shows: Red Hot Country on May 8, The Magic of Ireland on May 15, Magic - A Kind of Queen, Voice of the Heart - Karen Carpenter on June 5, We'll Meet Again on June 8, Talon - The Best of the Eagles on June 10, Letz Zep on July 8.
And the Swansea Opera Company is coming on June 24 with The Barber of Seville.
Children can look forward to Goldilocks and the Three Bears on June 2, and Stig of the Dump on June 25 while there are holiday workshops as well as new Nappy Mondays when parents can take their under ones to see a film.
There is the usual film programme and there will also be acoustic,comedy and jazz nights in the Warners Caf Bar.
