BIDFORD singer Richard Smith is swapping bands and now Somethin' Else is looking for someone else to take his place.
Mr Smith from Bidford decided to quit to concentrate more on recording original songs written with friends under the name Sahara Boat Club.
The 27-year-old said: "It was a very tough decision to leave such a great band however, it is impossible for me to give enough time to both projects and therefore I have had to choose. I will really miss playing with such experienced musicians." Now the band is on the look out for someone dynamic to replace him.
Keith Barker, drummer for the band said: "We are looking for a competent, dynamic and confident person who is no shrinking violet.
"We want someone who will be able to sing and become part of a well-known band. If anyone wishes to come along for an audition they are more than welcome." Mr Smith will continue with the band until the Sunday, July 3 where Somethin' Else will appear at the Castle Hotel in Droitwich.
To audition for the leader singer position call Keith Barker on 07815106021.
