HANLEY Castle year 9 defeated The Chase 15-0 to win the County title.
Hanley scored in the first minute from an excellent backs more, with Simon Leng running in from 40 metres out after good hands from Tom Guilding. This was superbly converted by Tom Pugh.
The rest of the half was an even affair and some excellent defensive tackles by James Crane prevented Chase from scoring.
Hanley dominated the second half and were justly rewarded with a try after James Allen broke from the base of a scrum to power over.
Late in the second half Tom Pugh slotted an excellent penalty which sealed the win for Hanley.
