FAMILIAR faces turned out in force for the annual civic service in Upton.
Sgt Robert Werner-de-Sondberg and PC Allen Naulls led a procession that included county, town and district councillors, Sir Michael Spicer and town mayor Mark Kerrigan.
Sunday's march was from the Memorial Hall to the parish church, were the Rev. Dr Chris Hardwick conducted the service. This was accompanied by readings from pupils at Upton CE Primary School.
Afterwards, refreshments were served at the Memorial Hall.
Coun Kerrigan said: "It was a very pleasant day.
"A lot of the visiting dignitaries said that the children's readings added such a special dimension to the service.
"They were very pleased to see the younger generation getting involved."
