THE Old Bush travelled to Reality Rangers for their last game of the season and were defeated 7-4.
REALITY RANGERS 7, THE OLD BUSH 4
Bush scored two goals from Hayden Jordan and Mark Cooke in the first-half but also conceded five. It was not a good defensive performance and sweeper Adam Spenser, named manager's player- of-the-season, was again missing from action.
Reality looked sharp on the break, scoring two more in the second-half but credit to the Old Bush for finishing the stronger team. Substitute Sam Black scored his 17th goal of the season, beating two defenders before shooting wide of the keeper, inside the far post. Hayden Jordan then scored his second of the game and 14th of the season.
The Old Bush have finished fifth in the Worcester Sunday League division one and have scored 91 goals, 27 of them coming from top goalscorer Mark Cooke.
A short meeting was held after the match to confirm that the team will continue playing in the Worcester League next season.
The club hope to bring in three or four more players and are looking for defenders.
The club also hope to have a new secretary as Sam Black is standing down. Hayden Jordan will continue as manager but may bring in an assistant. He will also take over from Pete Dean as treasurer.
Andy Growcott will remain as chairman. Anyone interested in playing can still contact Sam Black until further notice.
Old Bush players, past and present, will again meet up for the FA Cup final and hope to announce player's player of the season at this event.
