Traffic restrictions on Upton viaduct were due to be removed today (Friday).
This marks the completion of the £2.5 million project to rebuild the road, which was found to be crumbling away at an inspection last August.
Engineers will now spend the next three to four weeks removing the temporary relief road and completing the finishing touches to the work.
Jon Fraser, of Worcestershire County Council, said he was delighted the viaduct would be open in time for the bank holiday weekend.
"We're very pleased to have completed the project and in the summer, we hope to have an official opening," he said.
