The EGGS Golf Society played out their final event of the season last Saturday at The Vale course.

Despite almost constant rain, most of the field managed to return decent cards. Roger Pullen, Stuart Summers and Jem Finch all played Champagne golf, although none of them made a podium finish.

Mark Haffield and Paul Sharrat took third and second place respectively and the green jacket of the C and M Masters went to Andy McCabe and with it the EGG of the year award.

Rodger Pullen, Marcus Smith and Chris Belshaw took the team event in style.

The prizes were completed by Mark Haffield taking nearest the pin and Marcus Smith, all the way from London, winning longest drive.

The next event is the Bilko Brookes Shield on May 14, at Little Lakes. Anyone interested in joining the EGGS should contact Phil Smalley on 07834187939.
