TRIPLE award winner Adam Webster reckons he still has sceptics among St George's Lane fans despite a tremendous season.
Webster was recognised for his efforts when picking up the Players' Player of the Year, Supporters' Player of the Year and Most Improved Player trophies at Worcester City's end-of-season presentation.
Forever modest, Webster credits his best season at the Lane to past and present managers, Worcester's experienced squad and his family are at almost every game.
The 24-year-old's improving strike record has won over many doubters, but he believes some fans still need convincing.
Webster said: "My confidence has grown since I signed and I've won over the majority of fans. But there's always going to be a few that still think I'm not a good player.
"The same has been said about Jai Stanley because of the money he came for. But Jai was excellent last Saturday and that's what he is capable of.
"If he keeps that up, he will not want to
play in the Conference North. He'll be aiming much higher.
"I've had a really good season and that's down to a few things. John Barton gave me some confidence and support. Obviously, the new gaffer came in and with Andy Morrison they have helped and given me advice.
"My family have also been important and I've learned from people, especially the experienced players ."
Webster's 22 Nationwide North goals this term may have teams courting his services this summer, but the Leicestershire-based forward remains focused on his role at City.
He added: "It's up to me to keep performing on the pitch. What will be off the pitch will be. The chairman and the gaffer have told me that they will let me know if someone makes an approach.
"But the situation is out of my hands. It's a difficult one because I've been at Worcester for three and a half years and I enjoy it here. I've just got to keep up the performances and keep banging in the goals."
