MAY Day celebrations were out of this world in Malvern on Saturday with a space theme at this year's Priory Park event.
Dick Strawbridge, star of TV's Scrapheap Challenge and Geronimo made sure the occasion went off with a bang with rocket workshops.
"The idea was that children, and anyone else who wanted to enter, had the opportunity to design a rocket," said the West Malvern resident.
"We pumped them full of water to get the pressure to a maximum, the corks popped and then they were launched into mid-air."
Other attractions included live music from bands and short films played in a special marquee.
Malcolm Victory, who helped organise the event, said: "It's very much a local festival and there was something for everyone to enjoy."
