CHILDREN, parents and also teachers took advantage of a glorious Bank Holiday Monday to raise money for charities when they did a sponsored 13-mile walk.
More than 1,000 people linked to The King's School in Worcester trekked from Chase End Street in South Malvern to the clock tower at the other end of the town.
The event, which has become an annual occurrence for the school, aims to raise £20-30,000 for the charities Sense, Noah's Ark, and Hope & Homes.
"It is something the school has done every May Day Bank Holiday for the past 10 years," said chemistry teacher John Wheeler. "It's a great day and everyone feels a sense of achievement at the end. We have a barbecue after the walk, which the people enjoy."
