WHILE it is a sad day for the thousands of workers at MG Rover, perhaps the people of Worcester should have some sympathy for the workers at Worcester Royal Porcelain factory. The people who worked at MG Rover probably only lived for today, never giving a thought that nothing goes on for ever.
Now the workforce are complaining and wondering how they will manage to pay their mortgages and look after their families and pay their bills.
The government does not have a bottomless pit of money and cannot be expected to bail the workforce out. Why don't some of the top men of the company offer some of their money, as I understand some of these have been on £500,000 a year with a pension of £300,000 at least. I presume they paid into a scheme for this so are entitled to this.
MRS I CHAMBERS,
Worcester.
