STUDLEY will be playing Travel Factory Midland Alliance football next season after a dramatic last day saw them avoid the drop by just three points.
The Bees bagged a share of the points from their trip to high-flying Quorn on Saturday but that proved more than enough as defeats elsewhere left Shropshire neighbours Bridgnorth Town and Ludlow Town filling the relegation places.
And manager Kevin Rowlands paid tribute to his young side adding he had no intention of going through a similar nerve-racking finale next season.
"Although it has gone to the last game, we have not relied on anyone to do us any favours," Rowlands said. "We are still in this league on merit
"Our job at the start of the season was to bring on as many youngsters as possible and that's just what we've done. We now have good foundations at the club. There is no doubting the ability of the players - the thing that has been lacking is the experience, but now they have that as well."
Rowlands admitted it had been a hard and frustrating season for both his players and himself.
"I don't want another season like that," he added.
"The squad is not far off and I certainly won't be looking to overhaul it.
"I may be looking to add one or two players but the youngsters have done well and deserve a big pat on the back."
Two goals from Anthony Savery gave the Bees the perfect start at Quorn, the towering striker netting his double before the break.
The Leicestershire side came back strongly after the restart and earned a draw thanks to goals from Karl Brennan and a late Adam Beazeley penalty.
"We had said a while back that we didn't want to go into our final two games looking for points," Rowlands added. "We didn't fancy it but we have won at Loughborough and earned a draw at Quorn."
l Neighbours Alvechurch went into their final game safe from the drop.
And with the pressure off the Lye Meadow side produced an upset, grabbing a 2-1 win at Westfields who had been virtually unbeatable at their Herefordshire home.
Keith Rostill opened the scoring for Church on 28 minutes only for Chris Jefferson to level just before the break.
But the visitors grabbed the points when Liam O'Shea scored the winner on the hour to take Peter Frain's side into a mid-table position.
"To get a result at Westfields is fantastic," the Church boss admitted.
"We will now sit down and look at strengthening the squad.
"I need to bring in a few players particularly a quality centre half and a flank player. I would also like to bring in someone to score a few goals and take some of the pressure off strikers Brett Fitzpatrick and Keith Rostill."
Frain admitted he already had his sights set on two possible additions, central defenders Paul Smith and Jason Hall. Smith had been at Lye Meadow before switching to Pilkington in the Midland Combination while Hall is currently with Knowle.
